- Kylie Jenner just posted and deleted an Instagram Story about Jaclyn Hill’s lipsticks, the same ones that fans were really upset about earlier this week.
- In the video, she said she couldn’t wait to try the new shades.
Kylie Jenner just kinda, sorta, stepped into the middle of some beauty drama, and it’s a very yikes situation.
Remember earlier this week when fans of Jaclyn Hill took to social media to point out some issues with her new lipstick line? They were sharing pictures where it looked like the lipsticks had hairs and black dots in them. Apparently Kylie missed the memo, because she just posted this Instagram Story about the collection.
In fairness, Kylie does have *a lot* going on, so it seems natural that she would miss a headline or two. Someone must have pointed it out to her, though, because she deleted the Instagram Story almost right away.
Back to the lipsticks in question (and why Kylie might have deleted that IGS so fast), fans who received them earlier this week posted pictures in which they looked… not great. They described the lipsticks falling apart, having hairs in them, etc.
Jaclyn took to YouTube, obviously upset, to clarify things up. She said the fibers people saw were actually from white gloves, and the black bubbles were oxygen.
“My lipsticks are not moldy, they are not hazardous, they are not contaminated, they are not unsafe for you in any way, shape, or form. Every single ingredient in my lipsticks is new and it is FDA-approved,” she said in the video.
FWIW, she said she plans on giving everyone refunds for the faulty lipsticks, and the whole situation has been “very embarrassing.”
